Detergent for forms

Concrete is a universal material used in construction. It is from concrete that all kinds of shaped elements of paving, fences, posts, garden figures and many other products are made. Special molds are used for their production, which must be periodically cleaned of concrete. When the concrete mixture dries, it is extremely difficult to remove it from the mold. This requires a special product to clean the concrete from the molds.

Special mold cleaners that help clean concrete residue from different types of surfaces contain concentrated acid, such as hydrochloric acid solution (13%), as well as inhibitors. The latter are necessary to protect metal surfaces from degradation. They are especially useful when you need to wash off concrete residue from the tools with which the mixture is stirred and tamped.

In turn, the concentrated acid allows the detergent to penetrate deep into the structure of the concrete, making it easier to detach from the surface of the mold. Without a special concrete cleaner, it is almost impossible to clean the mold, because the material hardens and cures, which is why it is valued in construction.

Principle of action of detergents for molds

Different types of flushes act on a similar principle - they gently destroy the hardened concrete without affecting the material from which the mold is made. Gradually penetrating into each layer of concrete, the flushing agent gently destroys the concrete structure. As a result, the rest of the concrete gradually comes off the mold, and can then be easily washed away with water or cleaned off with a special tool.

How to use concrete flush from the molds

Any concrete cleaner contains toxic and aggressive components, so the treatment of forms with such a flush must be carried out very carefully, following a certain technology:

  • Mold needs to be cleaned of debris, dirt and construction dust;
  • If possible, manually separate large chunks of hardened concrete;
  • Apply detergent with a brush or sponge to the mold;
  • In the process of active chemical reaction flush is converted into foam, usually enough for about 15 minutes to begin to act;
  • With plenty of running water, preferably from a hose, rinse the resulting foam from the form;

If the results of cleaning the first time are not satisfactory and the concrete is not completely gone, the procedure should be repeated.

The mold cleaner is sold in concentrated and diluted form. It is better to choose a concentrated flush, which allows you to adjust the degree of dilution of the cleaning solution depending on the degree of contamination of the forms of concrete.
